About the event

About the Guest Speaker:
Mr. Ishant is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist by profession. He carries an MSc. in clinical psychology and has also done his M.Phil. in clinical psychology from NIMHANS, Bengaluru. He holds an advanced diploma in counseling psychology from Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi. He has also obtained a post-graduate diploma in human rights law from the national law school, Bengaluru. Currently, he is engaged in learning about child rights and law from National law school, Bengaluru and Supervision in mental health from TATA institute of social sciences.
His research work includes traumatic brain injury, mindfulness, and neurofeedback training. He is also part of projects which are working on intelligence and interviewing young children.
He has 10 years of experience in clinical and therapy and he has also worked for some major groups of psychiatric hospitals in North India before joining NIMHANS. Currently, he is working in NIMHANS, Bengaluru as a clinical psychologist. He is inclined towards the promotion of mental health in society and his social media presence is always influenced by that. He advocates for affordable mental health for society and works on training and guidance for young psychology aspirants.
