About the Expert:
Dr. Navin Kumar is an Associate professor at the Department of Psychology, Dr. B R Ambedkar College, University of Delhi. He has over 24 years of teaching experience with graduate, postgraduate and doctoral students at the University of Delhi. His areas of interest primarily include media psychology, criminal psychology, social psychology, Indian psychology, and positive psychology. He has authored various book chapters and contributed to many National and International Journal articles. He has authored several books, recent ones being Media Psychology: Exploration and Application (2020) and Counseling Psychology: India and Western pathways (2021). Having guided 18 Ph.D. Scholars, he has also completed various national research projects, one of them titled "Growing under the shadow of Media: Exploration into family lives and psychosocial wellbeing". Dr. Navin Kumar has also regularly participated as an expert in the field of psychology on News Channels across India.
