About the event

Effective Practice of School Psychology using Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a powerful approach to behavior change. The behavior change occurs by eliciting motivational language through a conversation. In this 6 hours workshop, the participants will develop an understanding and build hands-on skills of using Motivational Interviewing with school students, parents, and teachers. The participants will acquire a functional understanding of applying motivational interviewing to classroom behavior management, intervention implementation, and progress monitoring. This workshop is ideal for school-based mental health professionals interested in enhancing their counseling and intervention effectiveness.
